An American artist working in watercolor and mixed media, Manasha Garcia has her art displayed in the Garcia Weir Gallery.
Her work centers around impressions of landscapes and angels, and includes featured titles such as “Butterfly Garden”
“A Rose in Winterland”, and “Angels Sing.” In 2015, the work was exhibited in the inaugural Art Vancouver Exhibition in Canada.
.Manasha was introduced to the arts by her grandparents when she was just a child. As a teenager, she studied art formally in 1977 while attending Oxford University under the auspices of Shimer College.
In 1978, Manasha met musician and fellow artist, Jerry Garcia.
In August 1990, Manasha and Jerry married free of legal convention in a private ceremony at their California home
where they resided with their daughter Keelin Noel Garcia..
Jerry dedicated his art book to Manasha: “J. Garcia: Paintings, Drawings, and Sketches,”

Manasha now serves as Creative Director/Producer at Jerry Garcia Music Arts, LLC., where she curates and produces her late husband's recordings selected from the Jerry Garcia Music Archive.
In 2015, Mansha and Keelin Garcia founded the Jerry Garcia Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. The foundation supports a range of artistic, humanitarian, and environmental causes trough the beauty of art music.. Manasha also serves on the Advisory Board of the Guitar Center Foundation.
In her free time, she enjoys volunteer projects, choral music, yoga, organic gardening, and traveling.
